Visit to the bright lights of Las Vegas on the way to the Hawaiian islands for a chance to roll the dice, spin the wheel and have a flutter. For many in their forties Hawaii conjures up images of Magnum P.I. and red Ferraris. For those in their fifties Steve Garret and Hawaii Five-O are frantically canoeing though the surf; whilst sixty somethings may think of Elvis in his films Blue Hawaii and Rockahula. However, most think of exotic beaches, hula girls, lei garlands, swaying palms and magnificent sunsets. On Oahu perhaps visit Pearl Harbour and the Arizona monument or try out surfing on Waikiki Beach. Perhaps visit Kauai explore scenery made famous in the Jurassic Park films, wallow in the Wailua Falls or sunbathe on Kalapaki Beach - just a short stroll from Nawilliwilli Harbour. Hop over to the Big Island and go on a breath-taking volcanic adventure from Hilo or simply have a night time luau the Hawaiian version of a BBQ but much more colourful and fun! Maui is the home of the Luau featuring Hawaiian foods such as kalua pig, cooked in an earthen oven, poi and haupia (coconut pudding). Here you will also find the Haleakala National Park with the magical Waimoku Falls Trail.

Break up your return journey home with a three night stopover in L.A. - the City of the Angels. Here you will be spoilt for choice. Spend some time on Venice Beach made famous by the Baywatch TV series and the setting for many films, featuring roller skaters and lifeguard huts. Visit the boutiques on Rodeo Drive and perhaps take a Movie Star tour in Beverly Hills. Visit the Chinese Mann’s Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard where you will find the Walk of Fame and see how your hands measure up to those of Hollywood stars cast in the concrete sidewalk outside the theatre. Anaheim is the Home of Disneyland and also a western style Rollercoaster park called Knotts Berry Farm. Long Beach is the final resting place of the Original Queen Mary which has been converted into a floating museum/restaurant/hotel.
