Our centrally located Cretan hotel in Stalis on the beach makes the perfect staging post for local cuisine, relaxing days in the sun and the nightlife of of hedonistic Malia close by. Then scoot over to the Dodecanese island of Rhodes just off the coast of Turkey to visit the Old Town of Rhodes and Mandraki Harbour where the Colossus of Rhodes once stood astride the harbour. The hotel is situated just across the road from Ixia beach in a convenient location on the route between the airport and Rhodes Town; where the promenade is filled with a great selection of low key bars, tavernas and restaurants.

Crete is the southernmost and largest of the Greek Islands. The major port of call is the Capital Heraklion in the centre of the Island. This is close to the ancient Palace of Knossos and the Minoan civilisation from 4000 years BC. Knossos is home to the ancient myth of the Minotaur and the Labyrinth . During world War II Crete was the last bastion of the Greek resistance when the locals helped Allied troops escape South through the Samaria Gorge as German paratroopers invaded from Souda Bay. On Crete you will also find high snow-capped mountains, an incredible 12km hiking trail through the Samaria Gorge and picturesque Lassithi Plateau with its windmills and the birth-place of Zeus. Within walking distance have a wander around the old town of Malia where a maze of winding streets and alleyways is lined with buzzing family run tavernas and bars for a more traditional feel.

Rhodes is the largest of this 12 island chain where the Colossus is once said to have stood straddling Mandraki Harbour next to the ancient walled city of Rhodes Town. Visit the Acropolis of Rhodes, Temple of Apollo, Palace of the Grand Master, Modern Art Gallery and perhaps have a flutter in the casino. There is so much more to Rhodes such as Efta Piges (7 Springs Park) with its ancient underground aquifer and fresh water lake, the Roman Spa at Kalithea, picturesque Lindos, tiny hill top white washed churches, olive groves and wonderful beaches.

What do we do with your personal data?

When your credit card details are required as part of the booking process, we store the last 4 digits and an authorisation code. In the case of some low-cost airlines, we will use the payment details you provide to purchase the flight seats on your behalf.
